Later in the afternoon we walked to a white sand beach near the Research Center. The sand and the black volcanic rocks made quite a contrast.
To the left of the beach, the black rocks were covered with marine iguanas and crabs.
We then returned to the town for dinner, a leisurely swim in the hotel pool, a nice shower and comfortable bed.
